Hello! My name is Ms. DeFillipo. Believe it or not, I graduated from Foothill in 2008. While attending FHS, I ran Cross Country, was one of the top competitors on the Snowboard Team, and played Varsity Soccer. After graduation, I briefly attended Shasta College where I continued to play soccer. After spending a semester there, I decided to transfer to Butte College where I would further my education and soccer career. Spring 2010 I finished my AA degree and transferred to Chico State where I majored in English with a focus in Education. In 2012, I graduated with my BA in English Education and pursued further education. I began the credential program in Fall 2012 where I student taught and coached the Varsity Girls Soccer team at Corning High School. After obtaining my teaching credential in Spring 2013, I landed my first teaching position at Williams Junior Senior High School. During my first year at Williams Junior Senior High School, I coached the Junior High Volleyball Team, Varsity Boys Soccer Team, and the Junior High Girls Soccer Team. I taught 10th grade English, Video Production, and Digital Journalism. As a second year teacher, I coached both the Varsity Girls Soccer Team and the Junior High Girls Soccer Team. I taught four subjects; Digital Journalism, Video Production, Computer Applications, and Graphic Communications. I was also the advisor for the Future Business Leaders (FBLA) Organization. Which brings me to now, after being away for seven years, I am back at FHS! I loved my experience as a student, and I am even more ecstatic to be back to teach each and every one of you!
